At Sierra James Construction, we believe the strongest projects begin with strong relationships.
Every day, our team helps homeowners across Bend and Central Oregon restore their homes after unexpected disasters, transform outdated spaces through remodeling, and build places where families can create lasting memories. While the work we do is rewarding, it’s the people behind each project who make the biggest difference.
That’s why one of our favorite traditions each summer is stepping away from the jobsite for our annual company campout.
For a few days, emails can wait, project schedules take a back seat, and our focus shifts to spending quality time together outdoors. Surrounded by the beauty of The Newberry Caldera, it’s a chance to recharge, reconnect, and enjoy the company of the teammates and families who make Sierra James what it is.
This year’s campout had a little bit of everything. We spent time on the lake, shared meals around the campsite, enjoyed friendly competition, and celebrated one teammate catching her very first trout. Some preferred relaxing in a hammock with a lake view, while others explored the outdoors or gathered around the campfire after a full day of fun. These moments may seem simple, but they’re an important part of who we are.

A Strong Team Builds Better Homes
At Sierra James Construction, our culture is built on four core values: Quality, Trust, Culture, and Grit.
Those values aren’t just words on a wall. They’re reflected in how we work together, how we communicate with our clients, and how we approach every project.
Whether we’re responding to a water loss, restoring a home after fire damage, or completig a custom design-build remodel, every project requires teamwork. The trust we build with one another outside of work carries directly into the way we serve our clients.
Our annual campout reminds us that great teams aren’t built only during meetings or on construction sites. They’re built through shared experiences, conversations around the campfire, celebrating small victories, and taking time to appreciate the people beside us.
When people enjoy working together, it shows.
Why Company Culture Matters
When homeowners choose Sierra James Construction, they’re trusting us with one of their biggest investments.
That responsibility isn’t something we take lightly.
Strong communication, accountability, and collaboration are essential to every successful project. Because our team knows and trusts one another, we’re able to solve problems efficiently, communicate clearly, and deliver a better experience from the first phone call to the final walkthrough.
For us, investing in our team is just as important as investing in the tools, training, and craftsmanship needed to deliver quality work.
Our clients may not see the campfires, fishing trips, or shared meals, but they experience the results every time they work with our team.
Proud to Call Central Oregon Home
Living and working in Central Oregon is something we never take for granted.
The mountains, lakes, rivers, and forests that surround us are part of what makes this community so special. Spending a few days outdoors each summer reminds us why we’re proud to call this place home and why we’re passionate about serving our neighbors throughout Bend and the surrounding communities.
Whether we’re helping a family recover after unexpected damage or creating a space they’ll enjoy for years to come, our work is rooted in the same community where we live, play, and raise our families.

Looking Ahead
As another summer rolls on, we’re grateful for the incredible people who make Sierra James Construction what it is. Our employees, their families, and the traditions we’ve built together continue to strengthen our team year after year.
We’ll always look forward to our annual campout, but we’re just as excited to get back to doing what we love: helping homeowners throughout Central Oregon restore, remodel, and care for the places they call home.
At the end of the day, we don’t just build homes.
We build trust, lasting relationships, and a team that’s committed to serving our community with quality, integrity, and pride.
